It is hard not to fall in love with Lambert. He’s funny, cute, charming, well-spoken (doesn't break into a cacophony of Baaahs, instead speaks in complete, coherent sentences) and loves a good coffee. It is no surprise then that this green sweater spotting little thing is Adelaide’s favourite lamb! His Instagram handle @lambert_aus is followed by many from across the globe and some of his best friends include a Danish cook, and a Californian chocolate lover, among many others.   

TAL caught up with the dessert loving Adelaidean for a quick chat. Here's what he had to say.  

Where were you born?  

My parents say they found me down on a Pumpkin patch. But, the tag on my bum says I came from China! 

When’s your birthday? 

Well, I am four in lamb and 32 in Man years.   

Why did you start an Instagram account? 

Honestly, I started the account just to have fun. But I ended up making some amazing friends!  Some of my closest Instagram friends include @johanjohansen, a food writer from Denmark, @Myic2016 a chocolate reviewer from California, @jayeport an artist from Montreal, and @tristy.lou.and.co a chef from Doha. 

That’s nice! Please tell us something about your hobbies?

It is fairly obvious from my account that I love to eat! Other than that, I love drinking and hanging out.   

What makes you happy?

People having a good time, looking after each other, and enjoying themselves.

What upsets you the most?  

I get very upset when I see a negative comment on somebody else's social media accounts. It hasn’t happened to me, but I see it happening to other people, and I think that’s just wrong and unnecessary. 

What’s your favourite food?

I really like desserts! My favourite desserts are the LAMBingtons. And, to be honest, I will eat anything with sugar in it.

Are you a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian? 

I am not a vegetarian. But I do not eat lamb or mutton - that would be just wrong!   

Do you travel a lot? 

Well, I don't travel as much as I would like to. I have been to some lovely places like Uluru, but have generally stuck to exploring Adelaide  

Do you have a Girlfriend? 

It is a long story. I had a girlfriend, but I messed it up.  

I saw her the other day, but I wasn’t sure if I should approach her to start a conversation. So yes, I had a girlfriend, but not anymore. 

If we may ask, why did you break up?  

Let’s just say it was over a dessert. I prefer not to go into the details.

Are you a romantic?

Oh yes! I am an absolute romantic. It broke my heart to see Baarb walk out. 

Which is your favourite day of the week?

It would be Monday. Everyone hates Mondays and I wonder why. My Monday mantra is - Bring it on!   

What’s your favourite Television series?

I am a huge Game of Thrones fan! And, I hope no one watched the leaked episodes online!  

How would Lambert change the world?

I would try and make people happy. I would change the world, one smile at a time. 

What message would you like to give to your fans? 

Have fun, eat a lot of desserts, and keep saying hello!
